Terms of Use

Last updated October 8, 2026https://www.autonosis.io/terms/

These Terms of Use (the "Terms") are an agreement between you and Autonosis ("Autonosis", "we", "us"). They apply to the website at autonosis.io and to the services we make available from it, including the tools hosted on autonosis.io subdomains (together, the "Services"). By using the Services you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

1. The Services

Autonosis builds decision-support systems. The Services include this website and a number of tools that are currently offered in a private preview. During a preview, features may change, be withdrawn or stop working without notice, and we may limit who can use them and how much. We may also add, change or discontinue any part of the Services at any time.

2. Who may use the Services

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Services, or at least 13 and using them with the knowledge and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. The Services are not directed to children under 13, and children under 13 may not use them. If you use the Services on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind it, and "you" includes that organization.

3. Not medical, legal or professional advice

Some of our tools concern health topics, such as answering questions from published research or helping to sort symptoms or images. These tools provide information only. They are not a diagnosis, treatment, or medical advice, and they are not a substitute for the judgment of a qualified professional who knows your situation. They have not been reviewed, cleared or approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration or any other regulator, and they are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.

Always seek the advice of a physician or other qualified provider with any question about a medical condition, and never delay seeking it because of something you read or received from the Services. If you think you have a medical emergency, call your local emergency number immediately.

The same applies outside health: outputs of the Services are decision support, not professional advice, and you are responsible for the decisions you make with them.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Services in any way that breaks the law or infringes anyone else's rights;
  • submit content you do not have the right to submit, including other people's personal or health information without their permission;
  • attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Services, their infrastructure or other users' data, or probe, scan or test their vulnerability without our written permission;
  • interfere with the Services, for example by overloading them, scraping them at scale or using automated means we have not authorized;
  • reverse engineer, copy or create derivative works from the Services, or use them to build a competing product;
  • remove or alter any notice of ownership, or present output of the Services as if it were your own professional opinion without saying so.

5. What you submit

You keep ownership of anything you submit to the Services, such as questions, answers, images or files ("Your Content"). You give us permission to store, process and display Your Content as needed to provide the Services to you, and to use information derived from it in a form that does not identify you to improve the Services. You are responsible for Your Content and for having the rights you need to submit it. Please see our Privacy Policy for how we handle personal and health information.

6. Our content

The Services, including their software, models, design, text, graphics and trademarks, belong to Autonosis or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may use the Services only as these Terms allow. Nothing in these Terms gives you ownership of any part of the Services. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without obligation to you.

7. Third-party sites and sources

The Services may link to, or draw on, third-party websites, datasets and publications. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or accuracy. A link or citation is not an endorsement.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available", and during a private preview they are experimental. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not promise that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that any output will be correct or complete. Probabilities, assessments and recommendations produced by the Services are estimates that depend on their inputs and assumptions.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Autonosis and its officers, employees, contractors and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill or opportunity, arising out of or related to the Services or these Terms, however caused and under any theory of liability, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for all claims relating to the Services will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the Services in the twelve months before the claim or one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.

10. Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Autonosis and its officers, employees, contractors and partners from any claim, loss, liability or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from Your Content, your use of the Services, or your breach of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.

11. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or end your access to all or part of the Services at any time, with or without notice, including if we believe you have broken these Terms or if we discontinue a preview. You may stop using the Services at any time. Sections 3 and 5 through 15 survive termination.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the "last updated" date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, give notice on the website. Your continued use of the Services after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Fairfax County, Virginia, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us at support@autonosis.io and give us thirty days to try to resolve it informally.

14. General

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Autonosis about the Services. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect and the unenforceable part will be modified to the minimum extent needed. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, employment or agency relationship.
