Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information Autonosis ("Autonosis", "we", "us") collects when you use autonosis.io and the tools we host on its subdomains (together, the "Services"), how we use it, and the choices you have. We have tried to keep it short and specific. If anything is unclear, write to support@autonosis.io.
1. What we collect
Information you give us. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write. If you use one of our tools, we receive what you enter into it: questions, answers to prompts, and any images or files you submit. Some tools concern health topics, so what you enter may include information about your health or someone else's. Please do not include names, dates of birth or other identifying details unless a tool specifically asks for them.
Information collected automatically. We use Google Analytics (property G-D272TGCWFB) to understand how the website is used. It collects the pages you view, how you arrived, the approximate location derived from your IP address, and information about your browser and device, using cookies and similar identifiers. Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, request times and user-agent strings.
Information stored on your device. The website remembers your light or dark theme choice in your browser's local storage under the key anx-theme. This stays on your device and is not sent to us.
We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect payment information.
2. How we use information
- to provide the Services, including producing the answers and assessments you ask for;
- to respond to you when you contact us;
- to understand how the Services are used and to improve them, including by studying what people enter in a form that does not identify them;
- to keep the Services secure, prevent abuse and enforce our Terms of Use;
- to comply with law.
We do not use what you enter into the Services for advertising, and we do not sell personal information.
3. Health information
Our health-related tools are informational, and we are not a healthcare provider, health plan or clearinghouse. We are therefore not a "covered entity" under HIPAA, and information you enter is not protected health information under that law. We treat it as sensitive all the same: we use it only to provide the tool, to improve the tool in de-identified form, and as described in this Policy. Nothing you enter is used to make decisions about your care, insurance or employment.
4. When we share information
We share information only with:
- service providers that run the Services for us, such as Amazon Web Services for hosting and Google for analytics, who may use it only to provide those services;
- model and AI providers whose systems help produce answers in some tools; what you enter may be sent to them to generate a response, under terms that prohibit using it to train their models where such terms are available;
- authorities or others when required by law, to protect the rights, safety or property of Autonosis, our users or the public, or to enforce our Terms;
- a successor if Autonosis is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case this Policy will continue to apply.
5. Cookies and analytics choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the website will still work. To opt out of Google Analytics across the web, install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. You can learn how Google uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
6. How long we keep information
Emails to us are kept for as long as we need them to handle your request and for a reasonable period afterwards. Inputs to the tools are kept only as long as needed to provide and improve the Services, after which they are deleted or de-identified. Analytics data is retained by Google Analytics for 14 months. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security and troubleshooting.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your rights and choices
You can ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, by emailing support@autonosis.io. We will respond within 30 days and may need to verify that you are the person concerned. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under laws such as the GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to complain to a supervisory authority; we honor those rights where they apply. We do not discriminate against you for exercising them.
9. Children
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
10. Where information is processed
Autonosis is based in the United States, and the Services are hosted there. If you use them from elsewhere, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those of your country.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "last updated" date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, give notice on the website. Your continued use of the Services after a change means you accept the updated Policy.
